Joining The Player's Club

When I wrote about Slot Myths andMisconceptions I said that the myth of a machine not paying off whenyou used your players card is the most damaging myth of them all. There isno link between the card reader and the RNG. By not using you player's cardyou are denying yourself valuable comps and sometimes cash back from thecasino. Many times the value of the Comps (short for complimentaries) canmake the difference between a winning session and losing.

I gave you a brief look at slot clubs last November.Slot clubs or Players Clubswere designed to reward the slot players for their loyalty. It is a way thecasinos can keep the player coming back to their place to play. The casinoissues you a card that you slip into the machine. It tracks the amount ofmoney played and you are rewarded comps and sometimes cash back based onyour Action.

Cards are called slot cards, comp cards or players cards. Most of the casinosgive their players clubs and slot cards exotic names to fit in with the Themeof the casino. Thehave a railroad theme and their card is called the Boarding Pass. has the and has the Wampum Card. No matter what you call them, theyare your ticket to rewards.

Never drop a single coin in to a machine if you don't have your player'scard inserted in the card reader. If you don't use it you lose out.

How to get a card.

When you enter the casino, look for a sign that will point out the playersclub. If you don't see one, ask the first casino employee you see for directionsto the players club booth. Don't be shy. They are asked this all the timeand will be happy to point out the way.

When you get to the booth, there will be a little application for you tofill out. Most ask for your name, address, and date of birth. Most casinosregularly send their members special offers and promotions. After you fillout the application you will take it to the booth. You will be required toshow a driver's license or picture ID. This is for identification purposes. Some casinos have special offers for out of state players. You will alsobe asked to show your ID whenever you cash in points from you account. Thisis to insure that no one can use you use your card if you should happen tolose it.

The person at the booth will enter your information in to the computer andissue you your player's card. Before leaving the booth, ask if there areany special offers for new members. Sometimes there are gifts for peoplesigning up for the first time. It never hurts to ask.

With card in hand, you are now ready to go out and earn you Just Rewards.

Smart players join the club and always use theircard.

Until next time, remember:
Luck comes and goes...Knowledge stays forever.
